Jacqui visits Terry Spring Court
Jacqui Smith visited Terry Spring Court in Smallwood recently to meet up with residents and staff.
Jacqui heard about the exploits of residents of the sheltered scheme which range from the safe and sensible gardening work in the Court's greenhouse, to the downright adventures
such as helicopter rides. Jacqui also bought copies of a CD; recording residents competing in their own X Factor competition.
Jacqui said. "Every time I come to Terry Spring Court I am amazed by the activity of residents. What is more
activities are put on to suit all ranges of age and mobility. It was great to see my good friend Madge Tillsley MBE too. Madge was Mayor of Redditch during my early
years on Redditch Council and she was always kind to me as I found my feet in the Council Chamber. I think she would have made a good Speaker of the House of Commons."
