Jacqui
Smith MP meets with BT top brass to discuss improving
broadband services to Feckenham.
Following a meeting with Feckenham
resident, Ian Bellion, Jacqui Smith MP has taken up the case of
broadband services to the village. She met with Tim O’Sullivan –
Director of Public Affairs and John Dovey, MD of BT Global Services
at her constituency office recently.
Mr Bellion had
come to one of Jacqui’s regular surgeries to say that broadband
services to the village seemed inadequate and not reliable
enough.
During the
meeting BT said that they would be willing to contact local people
to explain the limitations of the services in Feckenham and what
local residents can do to maximise the performance of their
computers. They also
said that engineers would visit Mr Bellion to ensure that there was
no interference being caused to the broadband
signal.
Jacqui
said.
“I
hope that Mr Bellion and other broadband users in Feckenham will be
able to benefit from a fresh look at the problem by BT. I was delighted to be able to
bring this problem to the attention of BT in this way – its typical
of the sort of issue that comes up in Surgeries from time to
time”
